Welcome:
Hello! My name is Tolly Garrison and this is my third year here at Langston. I feel very privileged to teach at such an amazing school. Prior to teaching at Langston, I spent four years teaching ninth grade at Easley High School. I look forward to working with both sixth and seventh grade during the upcoming school year. I received an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education: English from Clemson University, and a master's degree in Middle Grades: English and Language Arts from Clemson University. I love to read and write, and I want to help my students develop as readers, writers, and thinkers throughout this school year. I expect hard work and respect from my students, and I know they expect the same from me. I am excited to spend the year with you! All information about classroom rules and procedures, grading policies, and materials needed for class can be found in my syllabus under the tab labeled file cabinet. Please feel free to contact me any time you have questions or concerns.
How this site works:
On this website, you will have access to homework assignments and projects as well as other important information in the File Cabinet. I post all assignments on the board in class everyday and expect students to copy it their planner each day. Please use the website as a supplement to the student planner. The website should not be the primary source of information as all important communication will take place daily in the classroom.

Office Hours:
If unable to resolve issues during regular school day, students with academic concerns may show up during office hours. Office Hours are held every Friday for students who have questions and/or need help with the current units of instruction. 2. I will be in my classroom between 1:45-2:45. .Office hours are not “tutoring sessions.” Instead, they are a regularly scheduled opportunity for my students to ask additional questions, get clarification, or get a little more explanation on things they will be studying for upcoming quizzes and tests. When signing up for Friday help, please have specific questions on what area you need help with.
